Feeling the nip in the air and the frost on it's way, I begin to turn my lenses inside, to capture the artisans of boat building in Maine. This year, I hope to travel afar to capture images of wooden boat building. If you know of that perfect picturesque barn with a wooden boat being built in it, please let me know!

In case you haven't heard the news, I'm moving into a new studio at my home. To help reduce my inventory, from now until Monday October 5, stop by the gallery for 25% off framed prints and select matted prints in stock. These are the final days of the Nautical Images Gallery at the Knox Mill. Once I get settled into the new space, I'll be announcing studio hours and planning an open house, so stay tuned for more information. The phone number will stay the same (207-236-7900), so feel free to call if you have any questions.
This year I was able to cover all three days of the Eggemoggin Reach Regatta series. The weather for Saturday's race was spectacular.
Alison's new 2010 Wind and Sail Calendar has arrived! Wind and Sail showcases sailing craft at their finest and captures the relentless spirit of sailing. From the graceful lines of a family daysailer to sleek and exciting racing yachts, these vessels all share the distinction of being classics in every sense of the word.
Knox Mill in downtown Camden, Maine had an unlikely visitor Tuesday morning…a moose. Moose sightings are not uncommon in Midcoast Maine, but this one wandered past Sage Market, heading for Deceptively New boutique. I had just arrived at the gallery and headed to Sage for my daily coffee when I heard there was a moose passing through. I was able to snap a few quick shots before the building was closed to the public. We wish her well with her travels.
